Emily is an illustrator from Clevedon and now lives and works in Bristol. She creates illustrations of local towns and cities and retro inspired images. All her artwork is made up of digital illustration, drawn on her IPad and edited in photoshop. She is a lover of 60s & 70s aesthetics and collects vintage fabrics and wallpapers to collage into her work. Emily loves visiting new places and is hugely inspired by beautiful scenery.
After completing her Illustration degree at UWE in 2014, she has been establishing her creative business. Her first collection was in 2015 of her hometown Clevedon, commissioned by friends at Saker Stationery- she has continued to create many illustrations of Clevedon and is well known by locals. Since then, she has gone on to create artwork of Bristol, stocking her prints, cards and calendars in numerous shops in the city which has been popular for many years. In Spring, Emily travelled around Somerset and Bath, photographing iconic scenes to illustrate and has created two new collections and this year’s Somerset 2020 Calendar. Internationally, Emily has worked with French greeting cards publishers, Zazous Editions, visiting Paris last year to create a collection of 16 illustrations. They loved her work so much that she’s been asked to visit Bordeaux next Spring to illustrate a new series. |
